Three years after he went missing in Florida, Bryan “Vladek” Hasel’s loved ones are still doing everything they can to bring him home.

The family of the former Marine, who would now be 25 years old, held a vigil on Saturday, Nov. 16, in order to raise awareness about his Nov. 2021 disappearance.

One of the final places Vladek was last seen was a coffee shop near the University of Central Florida in Orlando. Surveillance video showed police escorted him out of the area on a trespass warning, the news station reported.

According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, he wasreportedly seen nine days laterat The Place at Alafaya Apartments.

Three years later, his sister is helping to steer a new search into his whereabouts and remains hopeful that information is out there.

“I do believe there are tips out there to be had,” she told WESH. “There are people who will remember him if we can get his face in front of the right set of eyes.”

Steve told the station that he doesn’t understand why the family hasn’t heard from him.

“He is somewhere. We believe,” added Vlad’s mother, Cheryl Hasel. “All the searches have found nothing definitive, but we hold on to the hope that he’s out there.”

“When your loved one is missing, you will do everything to find them,” Schmidt told WKMG. “They are doing the right thing. They love their loved one, their brother, their son. They are doing everything until they find answers.”

In an update earlier this month, police said that detectives and family members are continuing to search for leads.

“No tip is too small,” they added, encouraging anyone “with even the smallest shred of information” to reach out.
