Grammy Nominee Hila Plitmann Surprised with Red Carpet Proposal from Todd Boss: See the Emotional Moment

Hila Plitmann didn’t go home empty-handed at the67th Grammy Awards.

The operatic singer, 51, got quite the surprise when fellow 2025 Grammy nominee Todd Boss, 56, popped the question on the red carpet at the Feb. 2 ceremony in Los Angeles.

Plitmann was nominated in the category for best classical compendium for herMythologies IIalbum, though she did not win on Sunday night. Meanwhile, Boss was credited as a poet on theA Dream So Brightalbum, which was up for best choral performance.

The operatic singer and songwriter shared the engagement news with a screenshot of the AP’s video on herInstagram account, writing, “BIG NEWS!!! ❤️.”

Several of her friends wished her “congratulations” under her post. One person noted, “This is the best news!” while another joked that “it’s wedding time.”

Yet another chimed in, “So thrilled for you and Todd! Two beautiful incredible souls coming together! Congratulations 🎊 can’t wait to celebrate you two.”

The poet celebrated the couple’s relationship on his ownInstagramahead of the engagement, sharing a series of photos of himself and Plitmann posing together at the Grammy Nominees Reception on Saturday, Feb. 1. The post also included snaps of the pair smiling widely with their arms around each other on the red carpet and a solo shot of Plitmann in the middle of the reception.

“At the Grammy nominees reception last night, the big winner was me. She’s better than any trophy.@hilaplitmann@hila_plitmann,” he captioned the photos.

It is unclear how long the pair have been dating. However, Plitmann and Boss have been sharing more photos of each other over the past week. On Sunday, the singerposted a pictureof herself and Boss getting cozy at the nominees reception, as she posed with her arms wrapped around him.

She captioned the post, “Among these wonderful friends, SO GRATEFUL. Some more sillies from last night’s GRAMMY nominees reception. ✨💖.”
