Green Bay Packers tight end Ben Sims is engaged!

TheNFLplayer popped the question to his longtime girlfriend, Maddie Algya, in Fredericksburg, Texas, during the Packers' offseason on Saturday, Feb. 22.

“Forever and ever!!!πŸ’πŸ€ I love you! 2.22.2025” Algya captioned their jointInstagramengagement announcement posted on Monday, Feb. 24.

The couple shared 10 photos from their romantic engagement atBarons Creek Vineyards. In the pictures, Sims smiled while down on one knee. After Sims asked Algya to marry him, she cupped his face and kissed him.

Algya’s stunning engagement ring is an oval-cut diamond on a thin band which sparkles with smaller diamonds.

The pair enjoyed glasses of white wine and appeared overjoyed as they embraced each other in other photos.

“Congratulations!! πŸ’šπŸ’›,” the Packers' official Instagram account wrote.

Fellow football players and their significant others, includingJordan Love, Sean Clifford, AJ Dillon, Kenny Clark and Daniel Whelan, also offered their congratulations.

In May 2024, fellow Green Bay Packers tight endTucker Craft tied the knotwith Baylee Jandahl in an outdoor ceremony in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Sims attended the nuptials, but now it’s Craft’s turn to be a wedding guest.

Sims and Algya met at Baylor University in Texas. Sims was a tight end for the Bears from 2018 to 2022. Meanwhile, Algya β€” who will graduate from the UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry in 2027 β€” played for the Bears' women’s soccer team from 2018 to 2022.

The duo β€” who becameInstagramofficial in August 2019 β€” have been together for more than five years, and often document moments from their relationship on social media.
