The 2024 show features over 5,600 dogs from 50 states and dozens of breeds competing for the Best in Show title and a $50,000 cash prize.
The AKC National Championship in Orlando will air on December 29 at 2 p.m. EST. The three-hour special will air on ABC.
With over 5,600 dogs competing for the Best in Show Title, the AKC National Championship is the largest dog show in North America. When counting the canines in the show’s agility, obedience, junior competitions, and other events, the AKC National Championship hosts over 9,400 dogs.
