Jason Ritter Leaves Woman in Tears After He Sends Message to Ailing Fan

TikTok user Amy Creel got the surprise of a lifetime when her video about her mom’s love ofthe newMatlockrebootcaught the attention of one of the series' stars,Jason Ritter, who responded with a heartfelt message.

In Creel’soriginal video, posted on Feb. 13, 2025, she says, “I really try not to ask for many favors, but I do have one.”

The favor she adds, is that Ritter — plays attorney Julian in the show — say “hi” to her mom, who she says is at the end of her life and “not doing well.”

“She’s been suffering for many years and it’s really painful,” Creel says. “She loves the new version ofMatlock …it brings light into her eyes when she talks about it.”

Creel adds that she “follows and loves” Ritter on social media, ending her video with a plea: “I reached out to him on TikTok saying, ‘Hey my mom loves the show.’ I didn’t get a response which I understand. I was just wondering if a bunch of us tag him, maybe he would see this message.”

“All I’m asking is that he just respond to my TikTok message. Not make a video or anything like that — just respond and say like, ‘I’m thinking of your mom,’ " she adds.

Just hours later, Creel posted a new video — this one, with an update.

“I’m just sitting here sobbing,” Creel says in thevideo. “I just got a message from Jason Ritter. So I told you guys that my mom — who is nearing the end of her life — is a huge fan of the newMatlockand Jason Ritter is in that show and my mom just adores him and all the cast. And it’s something that really brings a light to her eyes when she talks about it.”

She continues: “So with your help, I was able to reach Jason and he sent me this incredibly nice message.”

“I feel so grateful,” Creel adds in her video. “it’s just the nicest thing. Oh my God, thank you. Thank you to everyone who helped me get in touch with him and to Jason … I don’t have any words.”

Ritter also sent Creel a video, which she shared in anotherupdate.

In that video, Ritter speaks directly to Creel’s mom, saying, “This message is for Carol … I really appreciate you watchingMatlock.”

Ritter adds, “You did a wonderful job raising your daughter. The entire Internet is appreciating her.”
