Jennifer Lopezis opening up about how she balances being a mom with her own individual life.
The actress spoke with Judy Robles, whom she plays in her new movieUnstoppable, in an interview forBritish Vogueabout what the two have learned about motherhood as they’ve been immersed in the film’s story about champion wrestler Anthony Robles.
In the candid conversation, Lopez reflected on being a mother and being there for her kids, while also going through her own emotions and feelings.
“Okay, there’s so much going on here. And I understood it. I mean, as a mom, you always want to put your best foot forward for your kids," Lopez said.
“You want to lift them up. That doesn’t stop you from being a human being who struggles.”

In an interview withEntertainment Weekly,the actress recalled how her own experience as a single parent to her twins influenced how she looked at herUnstoppablerole.
“I’ve been a single mom at times in my life, and [I’ve asked], ‘Am I enough for them?’ " Lopez said. “And the truth is, all you need is really one good parent to love you.”
“You hear it in Anthony’s voice, and look what he’s been able to accomplish,” Lopez said of the athlete. “That’s what the movie gave me: You are enough.”

In November, Lopez appeared on an episode ofThe Graham Norton Showand shared that taking hersummer off to spend time with her kids— after the cancellation of herThis Is Me… Livetour in May — was “the best thing I think I’ve ever done.”
“I decided to take this summer off and be home with the kids and it was the best thing I think I’ve ever done,” Lopez said.
“It’s not like me to do that,” she added of her summer break.
