Jennifer Lopez's Sister Lynda Visits Violet Affleck at Yale amid the Singer's Divorce from Ben Affleck

On Sunday, Nov. 3, the journalist, 53, shared a few photos onher Instagramafter she visited the college student, 18, at Yale University. In one sweet photo, the two smile together as Violet snaps a selfie, wearing a white Patagonia puffer jacket.

Lynda can be seen placing a hand on Violet’s shoulder, smiling as the duo poses together. The author also included a few other photos around campus, showcasing the fall leaves. “New Haven with my favorite Yalie! 💙,” Lynda wrote in her caption.

Lynda’s visit to Yale comes after the “On the Floor” singer, 55,filed for divorcefrom Violet’s dadBen Affleck, 52, in August.

Lopez filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court and listed April 26, 2024, as the date of separation.

At the time, a source told PEOPLE that her kids and Affleck’s kids were the couple’s top priority.

“She tried really hard to make things work, and is heartbroken,” the source said. “The kids are a top priority, as they always have been.”

In July, Lopez was photographedenjoying a bike ride in the Hamptonswith friends, as well as Violet. Their outing came on the same day they werespotted walking arm-in-armin Southampton.

Although there wastension in Lopez and Affleck’srelationship at the time, Lopez and Violet “really enjoy each other’s company,” a source told PEOPLE. “They both seem so happy to be spending this time together, and are just enjoying the moment,” the insider added.
