JoJo Siwa Reveals She Cried for the First Two Hours of Her 21st Birthday at Disney: 'It Was Actually Ruined'

JoJo Siwa’s raucous21st birthday celebrationat Disney World went viral on social media in May — but what fans don’t know is that the star actually began her day on a much darker note.

In an interview for PEOPLE’sRules to Live By series, the “Karma” singer revealed that while she ultimately had “the best 21st birthday ever,” it started with a lot of tears.

“No one knows this, I cried for the first two hours of that day,” she said. “And I could have let let those first two hours ruin the whole day, but then I’m lucky, my best friendTyler [Cameron]called me. He was like, ‘Come on over, we got bagels in the room for you! Bagels for the birthday girl.’ And I was like, ‘Ah Ty, you have no idea. You just saved me today.’”

Siwa — who took herromance with girlfriend Dakayla Wilson public in August — celebrated at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla.The Bachelorettealum Cameron, 31, joined her for the fun, as did Australian singer G Flip and more.

Siwa later revealed that she “got punched in the eye” during the outing, but still had a blast.

“21st birthday was a f—in smash.👊🏼 Believe it or not I remember most of the day… and I remember having the best time with some of my favorite people. No place I’d rather have been. I’d give anything to relive this day again,” she later wrote on Instagram. “Stay tuned for tomorrow… sharing my videos…🍻🍹🍸🥂🥃🍷🍾”
