Josh Hall Blows Up at Christina Haack, Tells Her to 'Shut Up' in Volatile NewFlip OffClip: 'Pissing Me Off'

A new clip from the series premiere ofThe Flip Offshows what might beChristina HaackandJosh Hall’s breaking point.

During a tense car ride filmed before their July 2024 split, the exes have a mostly one-sided conversation that ends with Josh, 44, berating his now-estranged wife.

“This is a competition. We gotta pull out all stops. Whatever it takes to win, I’ll do it. Halls rule!” Josh says, glancing over at Christina, 41, while driving.

“You’re supposed to say it with me, or repeat it, or something that shows that you’re with me,” he adds when Christina stays quiet.

“Remember, you’re a Hall now. Don’t get confused in this competition about what your last name is,” Josh continues, before snapping, “You’re rude.”

“I don’t over talk,” Christina finally replies, her voice unsteady.

Josh then escalates the argument. “Yeah, the s—t you say and I’m just like, ‘I wish you’d shut up already,'” he says.

Christina only sighs.

“My wife’s pissing me off already,” he continues, before Christina concludes the conversation, asking simply, “Are we there yet?”

The scene, which is from the two-hour series premiere (out Jan. 29), alludes to a number ofallegations Christina has made about her ex since their split.

In particular, she claimed that Josh had issues with Christina’s relationship with her first husband andFlip Offopponent, Tarek El Moussa, 43, with whom she once shared a last name.

“[Josh] doesn’t like our dynamic, because Tarek and I have our own dynamic, and some could call it ‘flirty,’ ” the designer said “For me, it’s like a sibling type of thing.”

Christina and Tarek continued to film their hit showFlip or Floptogether for several seasons followingtheir dramatic 2016 split.Despite some bumps, they have also become amicable co-parents to kids Taylor, 14, and Brayden, 9. Tarek told PEOPLE in Jan. 2024 that theirrelationship is “better than it’s ever been, since the separation.”

She expressed a similar sentiment previously,calling Josh an “insecure man with a large ego," in an Instagram post shortly after news of their divorce became public.

While the newly released scene ends with Christina and Josh seemingly arriving at the house they’re renovating for the show, it leads immediately intoanother emotional one that PEOPLE previously exclusively shared.

In that full clip (above), Christina tells Tarek that she and Josh are officially over having had a final big fight.

“We had a blow up… middle fingers in my face,” she says, adding, “Things with Josh have been bad for a long time.”

Christina also reveals that their children played a role in her finally ending things.

“The kids literally asked me to leave,” Christina says. “They told me he’s not nice to me. Why would I stick around?”

Josh, 44,filed for divorce from Christina in July 2024after nearly three years of marriage, and the pair have since been involved ina contentious legal disputethat has oftenplayed out in the public eye.

Josh appears in the current second season of Christina’s solo series,Christina in the Country,which was filmed earlier, but the episodes show some potential marital discord, includingtensions over a stalled flip house projectin Nashville and aterse exchange about washing the family’s chickensin their bathtub.

The Flip Off premieres Jan. 29, at 8 p.m. ET/PT with a two-hour episode.
