Julia Louis-Dreyfuswill present the Screen Actors Guild Awards’ next Life Achievement Award toJane Fonda.
On Thursday, Feb. 20, the SAG Awards announced theVeepstar, 64, will present the award to Fonda, 87, during the 31st Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday, Feb. 23.
“SAG-AFTRA works tirelessly to protect the working actor and to ensure that union members are being treated equitably in all areas, and I am proud to be a member as we continue to work to protect generations of performers to come.”

Despite being in showbusiness for over 60 years, Fonda’s Life Achievement Award will be her first award from the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Radio and Television Artists (SAG-AFTRA). She earned her first SAG Award nomination in 2014 as a member of the cast of Lee Daniels’The Butler, and was later nominated for outstanding actress in a comedy series forGrace and Frankiein 2017, 2018 and 2019.
Fonda is the 60th Life Achievement recipient. Previous recent recipients include herGrace and Frankiecostar Lily Tomlin, her80 for Bradycostar Sally Field, herCalifornia Suitecostar Alan Alda and herStanley & Iriscostar Robert de Niro. Barbra Streisandwas the 2024 recipient.
The longtime activist made her first movie in 1960 and won Oscars for her performances inKlute(1971) andComing Home(1978). Fonda has also won seven Golden Globes and received the honorary Cecil B. DeMille Award in 2021.

Louis-Dreyfus has also been a fixture at the SAG Awards. She won three times as a member of theSeinfeldensemble, once as a member of theVeepensemble, twice for her individual performance onSeinfeldand three times for her individual performance onVeep. In between those two shows, she scored nods for her work onThe New Adventures of Old Christine.
The 31st Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will stream live on Netflix at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, withKristen Bellhosting.
