The coupleannounced thebirth of their first childon Aug. 23, 2024, and a source exclusively tells PEOPLE that Justin, 30, is “already a great dad.”

“The pregnancy was something that they very much wished and prayed for. The day they found out that Hailey was pregnant, was the best ever for Justin,” the source says.

“He was over the moon with excitement. It was a big celebration for them,” the insider adds.

The family tradition ofnaming their son with the initials ‘JB’is one that has continued on Justin’s side of the family for a couple of generations now, as the singer has the same initials, along with his dad,Jeremy Bieber, and some of hissiblings.

On Friday, Mallette wrote ina post on X(formerly known as Twitter): “CONGRATULATIONS @justinbieber & Hailey. I LOVE YOU FOREVER BABY JACK!!” adding multiple emotional and hands-in-the-air emojis.

Stephen Baldwin, Hailey’s dad,re-shared the cute message, writing: “Amen, Congratulations to you and may God continue to bless our family.”
