Kaia Gerber Recreates One of Mom Cindy Crawford’s Most Iconic ‘90s Dresses at TIFF — See the Uncanny Side by Side!

Kaia Gerberis paying tribute to her momCindy Crawfordin a major way.

“Kaia had sent me a mood board for TIFF and this was one of her references,” Dickson told the outlet. “I thought it would be amazing to pay tribute to Cindy’s iconic moment.”

Crawford, 58, attended the 1993 Academy Awards alongside actorRichard Gere, to whom she was married at the time. As the supermodel did on the red carpet, Gerber paired the gown, crafted with Hervé Leger’s signature bandage material, with white pointed-toe heels. According toVogue, she also accessorized with vintage diamond jewelry and a vintage Omega watch from her mom’s personal collection.

Dickinson, whose other clients include stars likeSydney Sweeney,Sadie SinkandBella Hadid, shared the inspiration behind Gerber’s look on Instagram Stories. “Just wait for it guys…” she wrote over a photo of Crawford at the 1993 Oscars.

Gerber has been opting for archival fashion more and more lately. At the TIFF premiere ofSaturday Nighton Tuesday, Sept. 10, the star donned a vintage Donna Karan gown from 2003, perWmagazine. The daring ensemble featured a plunging neckline and open back.

This year has been chock-full of show-stopping fashion moments for Gerber. While in Paris for the Summer Olympics,she and her supermodel mom wore coordinating LBDsfor the opening night of Omega House Paris 2024.
