Conrad married her husband, musician-turned-lawyerWilliam Tell,on Sept. 13, 2014. While she didn’t feel strongly about having kids, meeting Tell “changed her mind” about embarking on motherhood and shehoped to have sons.
A few years after their wedding, the couple welcomed their first child,Liam James Tell, on July 5, 2017. Their second child, Charlie Wolf Tell, completed the family on Oct. 8, 2019.
In March 2020, theL.A. Candywriter shared her parenting philosophy with PEOPLE. “One of the things isjust being a good role model,” she explained. “You can tell children anything you want, but they’re always watching you. It’s really about what you do that makes the biggest impact. It’s about setting a good example.”
Conrad and Tell also make sure to split responsibilities as evenly as possible. “My husband and I work together and the amount of time spent at work and with the children is pretty equal between us,” she added.

Despite maintaining her kids' privacy, Conrad enjoys sharing snippets of their personalities and interests, including Liam’s love of gardening fresh veggies.

“We planted a vegetable garden on the side of our house a couple months ago. Liam has been visiting it everyday to eat snap peas off the vine and watch everything grow,” she shared onInstagrambeside a photo of her son holding a head of broccoli in March 2020.
She also showed him “on the hunt for green beans” inanother postthat same July and later shared a photo of both of her boys “helping out in the garden” in December 2021.
The fashion designer loved picking out clothes for Liam from the time he was born. “I get to dress him up all day long.It is so fun,” she told PEOPLE in August 2018.
At the time, Conrad was open to branching out her designs to children’s clothing, saying, “Kids' clothes are so much fun. You dress them like tiny men.”
Wardrobe aside, Conrad “loves watching Liam grow anddevelop his own personality.” At 7 years old, he’s continued to explore different passions, liketraveling,surfingandfashion.

Later that summer,The Hillsalum shared how she and Tell were preparing Liam to become a big brother.
“He’s very smart, and I think he sort of understands what’s going on,” she told PEOPLE in August 2019, adding that they also bought him some books and dolls to help him prepare. “We’re just focused on making this a positive experience and talking about how exciting it will be for him to be a big brother.”
A few years later, Conrad revealed that her second pregnancy was “a little easier” because she had planned it to be her last.

“We knew we were gonna be two and done,” she said on thePerelel Livespodcast in May 2022. “I wasn’t someone who loved being pregnant … [So] even in the hard moments, [I took comfort in] knowing this is the last time I’m gonna do this. I’m not gonna do this again.”
It was also easier after Charlie arrived because she knew what to expect. “You’re not as stressed.You can enjoy it a little bit more,” she told PEOPLE in December 2019. “You also know that it gets easier, so there’s sort of this light at the end of the tunnel, whereas with the first, you’ve never done it before, and you have no idea.”
The mom of two later announced that she would be sunsetting her longtime lifestyle blog after more than a decade to focus more on her family and other business ventures.
“This website has been a very special placeto me … But the truth is that being a designer has always been my first love,” she shared inher final postin January 2023. “I always strive to have a healthy work life balance, and when I’m not designing for LC Lauren Conrad and Little Co., I prefer to spend most of my free time with my husband and kids.”
Today, Charlie is growing up to be an athletic kid. In addition to trying his handat skateboarding, he also enjoys practicing golf. When Charlie’s not busy playing a sport, he likeshaving dessertson the beach.
