Lauren Jauregui Still Has ‘Love for the Girls’ of Fifth Harmony: ‘The Four of Us Talk’ (Exclusive)

Lauren Jaureguihas plenty of love for herFifth Harmonybandmates.

The singer spoke exclusively to PEOPLE about the status of the musical group composed of herself,Ally Brooke,NormaniandDinah Jane— along withCamila Cabellountil she left the band in 2016 — at theFemme It ForwardGive Her FlowHers Awards Gala at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles on Friday, Nov. 8.

When asked if she still keeps in touch with the current members of Fifth Harmony, Jauregui, 29, says: “Yeah, I mean, I definitely still have a lot of love for the girls.”

“The four of us talk here and there. Yeah, Dinah actually just had a show yesterday. I wasn’t able to make it. I landed too late last night, but she and Ally were out there last night,” she continues. “So yeah, we’re definitely still in contact.”

When asked whether there will be any Fifth Harmony songs coming out soon, the singer says there could be something “in the future,” but there’s nothing in the works currently.

“Maybe in the future at some point, but not right now,” Jauregui says. “I’m definitely focused on myself currently.”

Fifth Harmony was formed with the help ofSimon Cowellafter the members first met in 2012 on the second season of the American version ofThe X Factor. The group wound up placing third and went on to release the singles “Worth It” in 2015 and “Work From Home” in 2016, along with the studio albumsFifth Harmony,Reflectionand7/27.

In December 2016, the band announced thatCabello, 27, wasleaving to focus on a solo careerand they would continue to perform as a quartet instead, according to a statement shared onX(formerly Twitter) at the time.

The group ultimately went on hiatus in March 2018, with the remaining members pursuing their own"solo endeavors.“They said in a statement at the time: “We are all very excited and grateful to be able to take this time to learn and grow creatively and really find our footing as individuals.”

“In doing this, we are allowing ourselves to gain new experiences, strengths and perspectives that we can bring back to our Fifth Harmony family,” they added.

The band has not released any music since 2017.
