LeBron James and Son Bronny Hit with Lawsuit Over Alleged 2022 Car Crash Just Before Historic NBA Game

LeBron Jamesand his sonBronny Jameshave been sued over a car crash that allegedly happened in November 2022.

McGillen and Lopez allege the crash happened along the Pearblossom Highway and that they required medical attention after the incident. In the filing, their attorney writes that the two women had paid for “physicians, surgeons and others for examination, treatment and care” and expect to pay future medical expenses related to the crash.

The two women also allege their car was “damaged and depreciated” in the crash, claiming their car was unable to be used afterwards.

The next court hearing is set for Feb. 19, 2025, records show.

PEOPLE has reached out to the attorney representing McGillen and Lopez for comment and further information about the alleged crash, as well as representatives for both Jameses.

“That moment, us being at the scorer’s table together and checking in together is something I will never forget,” LeBron said after the game, standing alongside his oldest son at the team’s postgame press conference. “No matter how old I get, no matter how my memory may fade as I get older or whatever, I will never forget that moment.”

The NBA’s all-time leading scorer continued: “Everything was just great today for me — everything. From the moment I woke up, I saw my daughter before she went to school, then I went to work and saw my son at work, get to the game, just everything. It was a great moment.”
