PEOPLE was there for the exclusive event, which featured Vegas showgirls decked out in elaborate costumes and feathered headpieces, and a live cabaret singer, perfectly fitting Pinky’s theme.

Speaking to PEOPLE at a private media brunch on Friday, Dec. 6, Vanderpump, 64, opened up on her inspiration for her latest Caesars Entertainment restaurant.
“Well, there are shades of pink and that bar I think will become one of the most iconic bars in Vegas for sure,” she said of the restaurant not being as “pink” as some may have initially thought.
TheVanderpump Rulesstar noted the intricate designs, highlighting pink hues “slowly rotating in the crystals and the chains.”
“And we spent a lot of time color-coordinating all the decanters. Yeah, it is different. We have a lot of lush and that tones, but it was more about that art deco era,” she told PEOPLE. “This is the oldest or the first hotel on the strip. So it was basically creating something that felt like you pulled back the curtain and this had been here forever. That’s why when you look at the floor, you almost believe that’s an original.”

Members of the press also tried the menu and delicious cocktails like “Less Depresso, More Espresso” under the “It’s Martini Time” section, and “Daddy Issues,” Pinky’s twist on the classic French 75, under the “Spritz, Bitch” section.
Vanderpump worked with her business partner Nick Alain for Pinky’s. The designer was present for the grand opening event, and joined in for her interview.
“What we really wanted to create was something where we felt that you pulled back the curtain and this was here and this had been there and this was this majestic, fantastic place that had been from that era,” the reality star and mogul added.
Before discussing their relationship with Caesars Entertainment, she proudly told PEOPLE: “Everything’s couture.”
“And so, you’ll see this theme that will go from the napkin all the way to the front door. So everything works together. And Nick and I have very, very strong ideas. And the wonderful thing I think is that Caesars don’t impede us in any way. I love that. We say this is what we would like to do. We present it and they just go, ‘Okay, when will it be ready?’”
