Love on the Spectrum'sAbbey Romeo Reveals She Wants to Marry Costar David Isaacman — and How She Envisions Their Wedding

Wedding bells may be ringing forAbbey RomeoandDavid Isaacman.

The couple, who met on season 1 ofLove on the Spectrum, have documented their journey of falling in love and the challenges that come with navigating their relationship as individuals with autism. Now, Romeo, 26, is opening up about them potentially getting married.

“I’ve always always wanted to be old enough to get married,” Romeo admitted.

She and Isaacman spend time together around “twice a week.” Last year, Romeo toldRolling Stonethat she might be ready to take their relationship to the next level, as she predicted they’d tie the knot “probably in late 2025.”

On the podcast, Romeo clarified that there’s been no proposal or wedding date set yet, but that cookies, Costco pizza and Yum Yum Donuts will definitely make the menu when their big day comes.

“Marriage means I’m like a princess,” theLove on the Spectrumstar said.

Marriage hesitation for the couple has been about how the legal union could impact their daily lifestyle. But Christine reassured her daughter that marriage doesn’t have to mean losing her safe spaces, like her bedroom.

“For the wedding, for both David and Abbey, both of them would say, ‘Does that mean I’m going to have to move my room?’ David lives in a condo with his sister, [Abbey] lives with me,” Christine said. “There was not a rigidity, but the idea of changing everything that’s really scary.”

She and Isaacman’s mother have discussed how the pair’s marriage “can look like whatever they want it to look like.”

“It doesn’t have to be in the traditional sense of what a neurotypical person would make it look like,” Christine said. “You can have your place, he can still have his place. You can still do what you do until you’re ready to move in together…so that they can make that commitment without having it to upheaval everything else.”

She continued: “I think in today’s world, marriage can look like whatever you want it to look like, as long as your heart’s in the right place.”

Seasons 1 and 2 ofLove on the Spectrumare now on Netflix. Season 3 premieres on April 2. On March 4,Netflix confirmedthat Romeo and Isaacman will return for the new season.
