Lukas Gageisn’t afraid to admit that he craves the spotlight — and now, he’s writing a book to prove it.PEOPLE can exclusively share the cover ofI Wrote This for Attention, a new memoir from theWhite LotusandEuphoriastar, 29, that hits shelves this fall from Simon & Schuster.The book was inspired, in part, during a particularly difficult week in Gage’s life, per the memoir’s synopsis. As his grandmother lay dying, Gage sat next to his father, who was largely absent throughout his childhood, scrolling through his phone.There, he found that people online were accusing him of being attention-seeking — to which the actor, who did everything from setting his room on fire to flirting withHooterswaitresses as a kid, agreed.
