Police have arrested a man believed to have shot and killed a 7-year-old boy on a tribal reservation in Colorado.

Hight was wanted on murder and gun-related charges in connection with the Dec. 11 fatal shooting of a minor, who was inside a home on the Ute Mountain Ute Reservation, in Towaoc, Colo., according to thethe Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Federal officials issued a warrant for Hight’s arrest on Dec. 19 and offered a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to his capture.

Navajo police said they had been searching for Hight in the Oljato area since Dec. 21.

The child victim was identified on aGoFundMe campaignas 7-year-old Zamias Lang.

Zamias was remembered on the fundraising page as “a bright and loving" boy who was “taken from us far too soon.”

“He fell victim to senseless gun violence, leaving behind family, friends, and a community who loved him dearly,” reads the fundraiser, which had raised $26,000 for funeral costs as of the afternoon of Dec. 27.

It’s unclear if Hight has entered a plea or retained an attorney to speak on his behalf.
