Man Sentenced to Death for Killing 35 People with Car: Reports

Fan reportedly drove his car into a crowd of people exercising outside a stadium in Zhuhai, a coastal city in southern China’s Guangdong province, on Nov. 11. Thirty-five people were killed and another 43 were injured in the incident, perthe Associated Press, which cited local police.

The car attack was just the latest such incident in China: earlier in December, another manreceived a suspended death sentencefor reportedly driving a car into a crowd of schoolchildren in Hunan province in November, injuring 30 people, including 18 children.
