It was amarvelousevening on Sunday, Feb. 23 at the opening of the new Off-Broadway comedy,Conversations with Mother.
That’s because the event brought about the reunion of threeMarvelous Mrs. Maiselstars:Caroline Aaron,Michael ZegenandTony Shalhoub.
Fans of the Emmy-winning Amazon Studios series will remember Aaron, 72, and Zegen, 46, played mother-and-son duo Shirley Maisel and Joel Maisel. Shalhoub, 71, had the role of Abe Weissman, Joel’s ex father-in-law and father to series lead, Midge Maisel (Rachel Brosnahan).

The trio were back together on Sunday to support Aaron. The veteran actress is starring in the play as an overbearing Italian matriarch named Maria Collavechio, who coincidentally shares more than a few personality traits in common with Shirley.
“As they continue to test their lifelong bond, the play depicts the outrageously funny and sometimes completely infuriating dynamic between a conventional mother and her free-spirited son,” an official release states.
