Melanie Lynskeyhas nothing but love and respect for her husbandJason Ritter!While exclusively speaking to PEOPLE at the Australians in Film Heath Ledger Scholarship ceremony on Tuesday, Oct. 22, theYellowjacketsstar, 47, admitted that balancing work and family has “been tricky” but expressed her gratitude for Ritter — and the fact that his showMatlockis filmed in Los Angeles.“It’s so wonderful that his job is in Los Angeles so our daughter has someone consistent to be home with her,” Lysnkey shared. “We’re very fortunate to both be working. It’s a really difficult time in our industry, so many of our friends are not working. And so we definitely have a support team,” she said, before adding, “And then I have a great husband who really is, like a true feminist. He does so much.“When it comes to their careers, Lynskey said “there’s always going to besome kind of sacrifice” because of the responsibilities that come with sharingtheir daughter.“We try to make it so that one of us is always going to be at home with her, because now she’s at school and she can’t travel,” she explained. “It means you can’t take every job that comes, which, you know, sometimes there are tough decisions to be made, but we do the best we can."(L-R) Skye P.
