Michael J. Fox Doesn't Think His Daughters Have Ever SeenBack to the Future II

Michael J. Fox’s kids are some of his biggest supporters — but he claims they haven’t seen all of his films!

“I don’t know if my daughters have seen it,” Fox, 63, said.

As for how Fox was able to portray multiple characters, he said, “We had expectations. We took that pretty seriously. We want to be great.”

“We want to make Bob happy most of all and just came through,” Fox added of the sci-fi films’ co-writer Bob Gale.

Fox shares three daughters and one son withTracy Pollan, his wife of more than 30 years. His kids frequently make appearances on his social media, where hespends holidays with the entire familyand gives them heartfelt birthday shoutouts each year.

Fox gives lots of credit to longtime love Pollan for who his kids — Sam, 35, Aquinnah, 29, Schuyler, 29, and Esmé, 22 — have grown into.

In a Mother’s Daypostthe actor shared in 2022, he wrote, “Our children are beautiful, sensitive, intelligent, empathetic, independent, compassionate, adventurous, lovely people.”

“That’s your fault,” he added. “We all love you so much. Happy Mother’s Day."

Earlier this year, the Fox family had a very special reason to celebrate whenSchuyler got married on mom Pollan’s birthday.

“There’s an expression I referred to when they gave me anhonorary Academy Award— somebody said to me the day before, they were talking about getting this award and being famous and they said ‘You’re ‘80s famous,’” he told PEOPLE in April. “I thought, wow, that’s cool. ‘80s famous. Right, we were different.”

“We were tougher. We didn’t have social media, we didn’t have any of that crap. We were just famous. Left to our own resources,” he added. “And it was an amazing time.”
