Millie Bobby Brown Says It's 'So Important' to Her to Start a Family with Husband Jake Bongiovi

The Electric Stateactress, 21, appeared on the Monday, March 10 episode of theSmartlesspodcast and spoke about whether or not she is planning on growing her family with Bongiovi, 22, whom she married in May 2024. Although she acknowledged that she is “really young,” Brown said that she is looking forward to becoming a mom one day.

“And my nan, my grandmother is, she was a huge part of my life. And so, yeah, I mean, Jake knows how important it is to me and, of course, I want to focus on really establishing myself as an actor and as a producer, but I also find it’s so important to start a family for me personally,” she went on. “It’s a huge thing. Jake was like, we cannot do that until we get married. So that was his thing.”

TheStranger Thingsstar went on to say that she and her husband are planning on having a big family, since they both come from families with four kids.

“And my thing was, I really want a family. I really want a big family,” Brown shared. “I’m one of four. He’s one of four. So, it is definitely in our future, but, for me, I don’t see having your own child, you know, as really any different as in adopting.”

Back in February, Brown spoke withVanity Fairfor their March 2025 cover story and shared with the outlet thatshe and her husband are “pretty united"on major topics, including how they want to grow their family.

“We talked about our political views, what kind of family we want to build, the kind of home we want to live in, the kind of relationship we’re looking for, the kind of careers we want,” she told the outlet. “It’s such an important decision, and we wanted to make sure we were making the right one. I knew I was. It always felt right with him.”
