Mindy Kaling Jokingly Shades Daughter Anne for Missing Her DNC Speech: 'Where Was the Baby?'

Mindy Kalingis calling out someone in her family for missing her appearance at the 2024Democratic National Convention.

On Thursday, Aug. 22, theMindy Projectalum, 45, took to her Instagram Stories to share a wholesome picture of her daughter Katherine “Kit,” 6, and son Spencer, 3, gathered around the television watching her speak at the DNC in Chicago.

In the photo, Kit wears pink heart pajamas and stands in front of the television screen while Spencer, who wears green truck pajamas, sits on the ground.

In July, Kaling’s close friend B.J. Novak spoke to PEOPLE and shared whether or not he’d been able tomeet her daughter Anne yet.

“Of course,” Novak told PEOPLE. “She is adorable and the best."

“In late February I gave birth to my daughter, Anne. She’s the best birthday present I could’ve ever imagined,” Kaling captioned the post.
