New York police are investigating the death of a private ambulette driver after his body was discovered in the abandoned vehicle.
At approximately 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 13, 64-year-old Peter Forrest was found with stab wounds at 201 Castle Hill Ave.,ABC 7 NYreported Tuesday, Jan. 14. When police arrived at the scene, the victim was already pronounced dead.
While police are investigating the crime as a homicide, the cause of death for Forrest has not yet been determined.

Soon after the Marquis Ambulette parked, a woman driving a dark-colored car pulled up behind the emergency vehicle and got out to approach it. She went back to her car and left, but came back and the other individual was seen entering her car before they left together.
An employee with Marquis Ambulette told PEOPLE on Tuesday that he was not allowed to comment on the ongoing investigation, but called Forrest’s death “terrible for the family,” adding that he “feels so bad."
A neighbor who spoke with the outlet during a video interview described the deceased as a “nice guy” who would “go to work [and] come back home.”
The surveillance video also showed another ambulette later pulling up to Forrest’s vehicle after the pair fled in the car.

According toNBC New York, Forrest’s manager tracked the vehicle down using GPS when he wasn’t able to reach the employee, and drove to the location to see what was going on.
Details regarding the identity of the person driving Forrest’s ambulette have not yet been released, and no arrests have been made, per NBC New York andNew York Daily News.
