Speaking withParents, Accurso says that she wanted to prioritize toys that could age up with kids so they’re able to play with it for an extended period of time, instead of only a few days.
“Something that grows with a child; something they’re not going to play with for two days and then not want to play with anymore,” Accurso says as she describes her toy line. “Something that inspires imagination and creativity; something that you can use in multiple ways.”

“I love Play-Doh, kinetic sand, things that kids can be creative with, and it never gets old, just like classic, toy dolls,” she continues. “Dolls are so wonderful. You can do so much with a doll.”
The toy line aims to support little ones through different developmental stages, from 3 months to 3+ years, and feature songs, characters and themes from Accurso’sSongs for LittlesYouTube channel.
“It’s so important to me that the toys be affordable, and they’re very open-ended. They can grow with the child,” Accurso shares. “We always want everything with Ms. Rachel to be beneficial, and that’s one of the whys we go back to, like is this helpful for children? Is it going to inspire learning and creativity?”
Some of the toys Accurso created will also tie back to her show. The Ms. Rachel Surprise Learning Box has four interactive scenes on its sides and comes with different accessories that babies can play with. Accurso plans to release a play-along episode later this fall so kids and their parents can follow and play along with Ms. Rachel.
“Then they offer play prompts on the back, which are like a little blueprint for parents, ideas on how to use the toy, and how to get started. Each card has a QR code that links to a video that Rachel and Aron have created that helps inspire parents.
Kids — and parents — will have to wait a little bit longer for the toy line to come out, as it hits toy aisles across the country on Sept. 29. Until then, Ms. Rachel is ready to sing another song with little ones on her channel.
