“I think every team in the National Football League would be accepting of a guy like Myles Garrett,” Kelce told reporters, including PEOPLE, during a media day on Feb. 5.

“[He’s] a stand up guy,” he continued. “He’s in the community. I told him I appreciated him for everything he’s done for the Cleveland community before he mentioned that he wanted a trade.”

The feeling is mutual, Garrett shares, as he calls the three-time Super Bowl champ a “great guy.”

“He’s been a good friend and I always love catching up with him,” Garrett adds. “Much luck to him on his journey to win another.”

And while Garrett waits to see where he’ll play next season, the winner of 2024’s Defensive Player of the Year says he’s staying “cool as a cucumber.”

“This is all part of the process and I wouldn’t rather be anywhere else in the world right now,” he says.

As far as who he thinks will win on Sunday, “I really do think Philadelphia has all that it takes to win it all,” he says, before quickly adding: “The Chiefs are just the Chiefs. You can never bet against them.”

Garrett is not playing in Sunday’s game, but he will appear on television screens nationwide as part ofOikos' new Super Bowl ad alongside Juno Temple.

“It was outstanding, Juno was great. She was so fun to work with, she very often had a smile on her face, cracking a joke, she’s just clever,” he says working with theTed Lassostar. “I couldn’t ask for a better co-actress.”
