Popeyes is celebrating football season — and their new wing flavor — with a sweet deal.

The chicken chain is introducing sweet ‘n smokey chipotle wings, which are coated in chilies and feature a hint of honey to balance the spice.

And from Aug. 26 to Sept. 8, rewards members can score a free six-piece wings order with a $10 minimum purchase on Popeyes’ app.

It’s all part of the brand’s goal of becoming “the official wing of watching football,” according to a press release.

“Popeyes knows tailgates and watch parties are about more than just the game – they’re about gathering with friends, enjoying great food, and creating unforgettable memories,” the release adds, noting that the fast food chain will keep the fun going with more offers throughout the season.

The latest addition to the restaurant’s wing flavors joins a lineup that includes honey BBQ, roasted garlic parmesan, signature hot, ghost pepper, honey lemon pepper and sweet ‘n spicy.

Earlier this summer, Popeyes announced another newcomer to the menu:boneless wings.

A year ago, in August 2023, Popeyes launched their fan-favoritesweet ‘n spicy wings.

Two weeks after their introduction, Popeyes revealed that they’d become their best-selling item since the launch of the chicken sandwich in 2019.

The wings, which are marinated and cooked until they’re crispy, before being tossed in a blend of chili, garlic and ginger, quickly caused a sensation on TikTok.
