Porsha Williams Speaks Out After Estranged Husband Simon Goubadia Detained by ICE

After the news became public, Williams, 43, shared astatement on Instagram.

“It’s disheartening to see my estranged husband make choices that have led to this outcome. At this moment my priority is moving forward with my family. 🙏🏾,“The Real Housewives of Atlantastar wrote. A rep for Williams did not immediately get back to PEOPLE.

His deportation comes amid PresidentDonald Trump’smass deportation plan.

In February 2024, however, Guobadia celebrated how long he’s been in America, writing onInstagram, “Happy Tuesday to all who ever overcame and persevered in life. You are winning👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾#42yearsLivinginAmerica.”

Williamsfiled for divorce from Guobadia that same monthafter nearly 15 months of marriage. The twomarried in November 2022.

Since then, the two have been in an ongoing legal battle. In September, Williamsscored a legal victorywhen a judge ruled in her favor regarding the former couple’s prenuptial agreement.

While speaking about her legal victories to PEOPLE that same month, Williams said, “God is good.”
