Prince Williamcouldn’t resist cracking a dad joke when he charmed a group of pupils at his latest royal engagement.
On March 11, Prince Williamvisited Sporting Khalsa FCin Willenhall, West Midlands to check out a referee training course organized as part of the Football Association’s goal to recruit 1,000 people from Black, Asian and mixed heritage backgrounds into the position.
While making his way into the course connected to the FA’s Reflective and Representative campaign, the Prince of Wales and patron of the FA (the game’s governing body in England) received a very warm welcome from “hundreds of schoolchildren” and local people who came out to see him,The Mirrorreported.

William, 42, took time for plenty of hellos and hugs, joking that he had “broken the record for the most amount of high fives in 10 minutes” as he mingled with kids from Fibbersley Park Academy. The royal is known to occasionally share what’s making him laugh when meeting kids, sharing over the summer that his 9-year-old daughterPrincess Charlotte’s “favorite joke at the moment” was a knock-knock rhyme about an “interrupting cow.”
Aston Villa’s stadium, Villa Park, is about a 20-minute drive from the Willenhall area that William visited, and theMirrorreported that he gave a thumbs-up to the student who made the special sign.

The little one then threw open his arms and William instantly wrapped him up in a hug, in a sweet scene that caused the crowd to say, “Aw.”
