Georgina Sparks' re-introduction to the Upper East Side is a major moment in season 1 of the popular series. Just as Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) feels like she’s getting a grip on her life, her boarding school best friend shows up to remind her of her wild past. Trachtenberg aces Georgina as a conniving young woman who thrives off of drama and never lets anyone see her sweat.

Sure, her frenemies try to take care of Georgina once and for all, but she’s the kind of girl who is down, but never out. Her return from a go at embracing religion, only to quickly revert to her scheming ways upon re-entering Manhattan, results in one of the series' most iconic lines: “You can tell Jesus that the bitch is back.”
No one is more surprised than Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) walking into her NYU dorm only to discover her roommate is Georgina Sparks. Not only does Georgina find herself thriving in the college social scene, but she does everything she can to shut Blair out.
Georgina briefly takes the reins as the mystery blogger terrorizing the private lives of the gang of Upper East Siders. While it shocks the friends to think it has been Georgina all along, she later explains that it hasn’t been: She took over forGossip Girlafter they went silent following Blair and Chuck’s (Ed Westwick) car crash. Seizing on the opportunity, she uses her power to ruin Blair’s wedding and puts her in a precarious situation thereafter.
Although we don’t get to see it play out on screen, Georgia Sparks' story in the original series ends with her romancing none other than Chuck Bass' cunning uncle, Jack (Desmond Harrington). The two don’t appear to still be together when Georgina makes her return in theGossip Girlreboot, but the chaos they could’ve caused was a true happily ever after for her character.
