For Reneé Rapp the journey from Broadway to Hollywood was like “being shot out of a cannon.”

Now the fearless, outspoken star (who promises new music on the way) is breaking into the beauty world asa global brand ambassador for L’Oréal Paris, a title she still “can’t believe.”

“When I think about the integrity of what I do, I really care about trying to reach the most people,” she says of the partnership. “A global outlook is inclusive—plus, I like being in good company.” That company includes A-list faces like Eva Longoria, Jane Fonda, Kendall Jenner and Cara Delevingne. “And don’t forget Viola!” Rapp says. “I would lay my life on the line for Viola Davis.”

Rapp practices a less-is-more makeup approach when she’s off duty. “It’s all about quality,” she says. “When you’re using quality products on your face, you don’t need a ton of other s—.”
