Despite not being a huge box office success at the time of its 1989 release, it’s lived on as one of the more memorable depictions of teenage witches – and to celebrate the film’s anniversary, the cast reunited.

With these powers, she cast a love spell on her high-school crush, quarterback Brad Powell (Gauthier). In between musical numbers and moments of onscreen magic, Louise eventually tries to reverse the teenage dreams she’s manifested into reality with her magic.

Lively has previously admitted that despite not gaining notoriety at the time of its release, it continues to be one of her most recognized roles.

“Teen Witchholds thenumber one spotfor decades now,” she shared with PEOPLE. “Nothing compares. People absolutely love that film, and it’s resonated with so many generations. I had no idea when we were filming it that it would end up being … I just had no clue. It’s so dear and beloved to me because of that.”
