Shemar Moore Asks for Privacy as He Navigates Co-Parenting After Split from Jesiree Dizon: ‘She’s a Phenomenal Mother'

Shemar Mooreis asking everyone to “give us some privacy,” as he navigates his new co-parenting journey.

“I spent five years with Jesiree Dizon, [and] she’s an amazing woman for so many reasons,” he said, adding that his ex-girlfriend is a “phenomenal mother.” “She’s wonderful in so many ways. Yes, we have our differences, but we gon' love each other and we gon' love the hell out of our daughter Frankie.”

“I am so grateful that our daughter Frankie gets to call Jesiree mom,” he continued. “When I’m not able to be there because of work or whatever, I know that our daughter is in good hands because Jesiree is handling her business.”

TheDiary of a Mad Black Womanactor said that he remains “loving friends” with Dizon.

“We have fun together and we are going to co-parent,” he said. “It’s not about anything but the children.”

He continued to reiterate his respect and love for his ex-girlfriend before saying that his daughter Frankie gives himpurpose in life.

“Jesiree is a phenomenal woman and an insanely phenomenal mom,” he said. “And, me, I ain’t never been a daddy before, but everything I’ve done in my life is nothing without the miracle of Frankie and I am going to be the dopest father that that little girl has ever known because that’s the only reason I’m still here. And that’s the only reason I’m living”

“I’m going to be the best version of myself for my daughter Frankie,” he continued. “There’s nothing but love in my heart.”

The couple split after nearly five years together, PEOPLE can confirm." They are loving friends and co-parents and always will be," a source told PEOPLE of the breakup.

The former couple went Instagram official in January 2023 but knew each other for years before then. The pair grew close in 2020 afterMoore’s mother died. The actorand the model welcomed daughter Frankie on Jan. 24, 2023, and Dizon is also mom to daughter Charli and son Kaidem from two previous relationships.
