Shemar Moore Is Looking for 'Peace' and 'Love' After Confirming Split from Jesiree Dizon: 'Give Us a Break'

Shemar Moorewants to set the record straight following the news of his breakup fromJesiree Dizon.

“There’s been a lot of press releases that hit today or yesterday taking about my personal life, my life, my private life with Jesiree Dizon,” Moore, 54, said in anInstagram Reelposted on Friday, Jan. 31. “It’s my life. It’s not your business, but I know how Hollywood works. I know how all this media stuff works. It’s gossip, gossip, gossip. And that’s just what it is. And you know, be careful what you wish for. You know what you signed up for type of thing.”

TheS.W.A.T.star acknowledged that “if I wasn’t halfway famous, then nobody would care” about his relationship status.

“I’m a funny dude, I’m a goofy dude, I’m a silly dude and I’m a serous dude,” Moore said. “But right now, I’m just gonna be an honest dude. Mind ya business. Mind ya business. Give us a break, Give us some privacy.”

Moore called Dizon, with whom he shares 2-year-olddaughter Frankie, “an amazing woman” and “a phenomenal mother.”

The actor said that, at this point, “I’m looking for joy. I’m looking for calm. I’m looking for peace. I’m looking for love in my life.”

“Me and Jesiree love each other, that’s not going to change until the day God calls my name,” he said, referring to Dizon, 41, who he dated for five years. “Ain’t going to change. She’s wonderful in so many ways. Yes, we have our differences, but we gonna love each other and we gonna love the hell out of our daughter Frankie.”

Moore also said he and Dizon “are loving friends” who will continue to co-parent.

News of Moore and Dizon’s breakup broke on Thursday, Jan. 30. A source told PEOPLE at the time that Moore and Dizon “are loving friends and co-parents and always will be.”
