In March 2022,PEOPLE confirmed the pair’s engagementaftertheEuphoriaactresswas spotted with a diamond ring on her left ring finger.

December 2019: Sydney Sweeney talks about wanting to settle down in Chicago

Duringan interview with Elite Daily, Sweeney seemingly referenced Davino when she talked about one day wanting to live in Chicago, where Davino’s family owns 14th Round and Finalbell, a device technology and packaging company.

“I have a place there,” she told the publication. “It’s like my getaway place.” When asked whom she knows in Chicago, she coyly replied, “A friend.”

November 2020: Sydney Sweeney and Jonathan Davino vacation in Maui

Almost a year after talking about wanting to settle down in Chicago,Sweeney and Davino jetted off to Maui, Hawaii, for a romantic getaway. During their trip, the two were seen hugging and sharing a kiss as they took a dip in the water.

February 2022: Sydney Sweeney talks about not dating people in the spotlight

Sweeney gave a rare glimpse into her personal life duringher cover story forCosmopolitan’s Love Issue.

When asked what she looks for in a partner, she replied, “I look for a best friend. I need to be able to be with someone who I can literally hang out with 24/7 and never get sick of and we laugh every single day.”

On Feb. 28, 2022, Sweeney was spotted wearing a diamond ring on her left ring finger, prompting many to wonder if Davino had popped the question. Shortly after, PEOPLE confirmed the couple was engaged.

The newly-revealed engaged couple wasseen outside of a Los Angeles spawith Sweeney’s dog enjoying a day together.

Sweeney briefly came outside of the spa to take a phone call in a white robe embroidered with the logo of her television seriesThe White Lotus. It was the first time Sweeney and Davino were spotted together since their engagement became public.

July 2022: Sydney Sweeney says she wants to be a young mom

During an interview withThe Hollywood Reporter, Sweeneyopened up about her future plansbeyond Hollywood. “I want to have a family, I’ve always wanted to be a young mom,” she told the publication.

TheEuphoriastar also discussed her worries about the “stigma” the industry puts on young women who have children, and how taking time off to raise a family might impact her career.

“If I wanted to take a six-month break, I don’t have income to cover that,” she explained. “I don’t have someone supporting me, I don’t have anyone I can turn to, to pay my bills or call for help.”

While hostingSaturday Night Livein March 2024,Sweeney made a rare comment about Davinoduring her monologue as she addressed rumors that she had an affair with her costar Glen Powell while filmingAnyone But You.

Sweeney continued, “We’re teammates. We’re in it together. And we want to see each other succeed.”
