Tate McRaeand The Kid LAROI’s relationship has been making headlines since early 2024.

The Canadian pop star and the Australian artist have captivated fans with their budding romance thanks to sneaky selfies and hand-in-hand date nights, but it wasn’t until April 2024 that LAROI seemingly confirmed their relationship status. After months of speculation, LAROI revealed to fans at his April 14 show in Dublin that “his girlfriend” was in the audience, where McRae was watching from the side stage.

When asked about the possibility of releasing a song with LAROI on the red carpet at the iHeartRadio Music Awards just two weeks prior, McRae laughed and covered her face.

“Maybe,” shetoldBillboard. “He’s amazing.”

The new relationship, which thecouple made Instagram officialin July 2024, comes almost a year after McRae’s split from hockey player Cole Sillinger, which prompted the pop star to delete all photos of the athlete from her social media accounts. As for LAROI, he dated TikTok star Katarina Deme from 2020 until the two split in 2023.

In a photo dump from a trip to Mexico, McRaeposed in a black one-piece with a button-downdraped over her shoulders. Eagle-eyed fans were quick to notice that the shirt looked notably similar to one LAROI had been seen wearing. After McRae posted her photos on Instagram, LAROI commented with a sunglasses emoji, further fueling speculation.

“Isn’t that shirt yours??” a fan commented under LAROI’s comment. However, neither McRae nor LAROI addressed the comment.

Various social media accounts also noted that the duo were seen partying together with friends during their apparent joint vacation in Mexico, including a clip of the twodancing together.

Paparazzi caught LAROI and McRae enjoying acozy dinner togetherat Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, Calif. The pair opted for casual attire, with McRae in Adidas track pants and black boots, while LAROI wore a red Indiana University sweatshirt paired with ripped jeans, a gray beanie and Converse sneakers.

February 3, 2024: Tate McRae and The Kid LAROI hold hands at the 2024 NHL All-Star Game in Toronto

At the 2024 NHL All-Star Game in Toronto, a source told PEOPLE that McRae and LAROI wereconfirmed to be holding handsat the event. McRae, a celebrity captain and halftime performer at the game, shared the spotlight with LAROI during the outing. LAROI, in a white and yellow NHL-themed sweatshirt, walked hand in hand with McRae, who wore a casual shirt and jeans.

She later wore a silver crop top and sweatpants during her performance. She sang hits like “Greedy” and “You Broke Me First” and debuted her song “Run for the Hills.”

However, the interviewer had one final question: “Would you ever do a song with The Kid LAROI?”

August 22, 2024: The Kid LAROI joins Tate McRae on stage at Madison Square Garden

When McRae brought LAROI out to perform his song “Without You” at her New York City concert, she noted that it was the couple’s “first time singing together.”

“I’m so proud of you, and you have so many people in here that love you. I’m one of them,” he told her onstage after they finished the song and shared a kiss.

After the concert, LAROI and McRae were spotted out in NoHo.
