Terry Crewsis officially an empty nester.
On Monday, Sept. 9, theAmerica’s Got Talenthost, 56, visitedThe Talk, where he chatted about how it feels to be an empty nester after raising his five children — Naomi, 36, Azriél, 33, Tera, 26, Winnie, 21, and Isaiah, 19 — with his wifeRebecca King-Crews.

While Crews is still trying to figure out what to do without his kiddos causing chaos in their house, he does recognize that empty nesting comes with some “advantages.”
“There’s kind of like advantages to both things because now though, me and my wife can pick up and go anywhere we want,” he said, adding that “it’s so freeing.”
In his new-found free time, the proud dad shared that he’s dedicated his time to helping his wife follow her dreams.

“Here’s the thing, my wife literally sacrificed everything,” he began. “She held all her dreams to raise our family. She’s a singer, she’s a performer, she’s a designer, and she said, ‘I can’t do this until I know all the kids are great.’ Now I am dedicated to her success.”
“Whatever she wants to do,” Crews added, “She is the best person, she’s better than me.”
In July, the proud parents of five celebrated 35 years of marriage, and the college sweetheartsshared the “key” to their long-lasting lovewith PEOPLE.
“First of all, the advice I always give is that you can’t love someone and control them at the same time. And I think that’s been the key,” Crews told PEOPLE atEntertainment Weekly’s Annual Comic-Con Bash 2024. “A lot of things that I did wrong early in our marriage didn’t involve love, It involved control.”
