As she poured hot water, the Queen told her, “No lemon, thanks.”But Leith said she didn’t have a second a cup. She then tried to top the Queen’s cup off with more hot water. “I thought that usually people who like black tea like it weak,” Leith said. However, things went awry again when the Queen confirmed she liked her tea strong.“She got weak lemony tea when what she wanted was strong black tea,” the restaurateur and cookbook author said. “I’ve felt bad ever since, but there it was.”
