Ury, a Harvard trained behavioral scientist, is on hand to coach the singles as “they navigate a whole new dating world and its different rules and online etiquette (where the eggplant emoji maybe doesn’t mean what they think it does)," according to an official synopsis.

“Whether divorced, widowed, or longtime single, they end up forging deeper connections not only with their families and potential partners, but with themselves,” the description continues.

“Hot Italian,” Suzanne counters.

As the singles embark on a series of blind dates, Ury steps in to “help people become better daters.” However, it’s not all smooth sailing for the boomers.

“I’ve been married twice. Husband number one fell asleep with a cigarette and burnt the house down. Husband number two’s dead too. Now, do you want to go out with me?” Pam asks one suitor, much to his dismay.

The challenges of the modern dating scene brings realizations about themselves.

“I realize that I have flaws,” one single can be heard saying and another adds, “I’m just really afraid of being hurt.”

“All through my life, I didn’t have room to be soft. I had to be strong,” Anise shares.

However, all hope is not lost on the singles’ journey to find love.

“I’m gonna fall in love. I just sense it,” Suzanne later declares.

The trailer concludes with Ury encouraging the singles to “shine in your truest, biggest way.”
