The VoiceFinalist Bryan Olesen Returns to Support His Daughter, 23, in Blind Audition During Season 27 Premiere

The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

On Monday, Feb. 3, season 25 finalistBryan Olesenreturned to the show to support his daughterJadyn Cree, 23, in herblind auditionduring the season 27 premiere.

“My dad definitely left some big shoes to fill,” she said before going onstage. “I’m excited to make him proud and try my best to get anywhere close to where he got in this competition.”

After coachesJohn LegendandAdam Levineturned their chairs, the “All of Me” singer — who was Olesen’s coach on season 25 — said “she looks very familiar to me.”

Jadyn then revealed that her dad was Olesen and called for him to join her onstage.

Legend, 46, cheered for his former contestant and said, “Bryan Olesen, we went all the way to third place on this show which was amazing. Now I’m feeling a little FOMO (fear of missing out) right now.”

Then, the Canadian crooner and the country singer gave their best efforts to have Jadyn join their teams.

The “I Would, Would You” singer, 31, added, “Your voice is really pure. I want to see you sing stuff like ‘Kiss Me’ Sixpence None the Richer or like ‘Jar of Hearts’Christina Perri.”

After taking a moment to chat with her dad, Jadyn chose Bublé as her coach.

During his time on the show, Olesen made it to the finale and ended up in third place. The winner that season was Asher HaVon.

Speaking with PEOPLEahead of the season finale, Olesen expressed his gratitude for Legend.

“I don’t think I’d still be here if I wasn’t on John’s team. And just his words, there’s many words that weren’t on camera. His words of affirmation — they’ve built me up in a certain way that have been just wonderful,” he said.

The blind auditions will continue on Monday, Feb. 10 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
