Tiger Woods Took Vanessa Trump and Her Daughter to Golf Tournament Weeks Before Dating News Broke: Photos

Tiger Woodshas been sharing his love of golf while spending time with members of the Trump family.

In photos taken while at the Genesis Invitational last month, the golf legend was spotted getting out of a car withVanessa Trump,Donald Trump Jr.’s ex-wife, and their daughter Kai, 17, before walking together into the tournament.

A source close to the Trump family confirmed to PEOPLE on Thursday, March 13 that Woods, 49, and Trump, 47, have been quietly dating for several months.

Kai is a top junior golfer in Florida who has committed to play for the University of Miami next year.

In the images, taken on Sunday, Feb. 16, Kai and Vanessa walk alongside Woods, who sported his signature red polo, which he typically dons for the last round of tournaments.

Days before the Genesis, however, Woods withdrew from the tournament at Torrey Pines Golf Course in La Jolla due tothe death of his mother, Kultida.

“I did my best to prepare, knowing it’s what my Mom would have wanted, but I’m still processing her loss,” Woods wrote in a social media post. “Thanks to everyone who has reached out. I hope to be at Torrey later in the week and appreciate the continued kindness since my Mom’s passing.”

Woods’ new relationship comes amid another career setback.

The golf legend announced on Tuesday, March 11 that he has ruptured his Achilles tendon.

“As I began to ramp up my own training and practice at home, I felt a sharp pain in my left Achilles, which was deemed to be ruptured,” Woodswrote on social media.

Fresh off his play in the inaugural TGL golf league, Woods was said to be eyeing the Masters next month — where he made history last year for making the cut for the 24th consecutive time.
