Tim the Tool Man turned into Tim the Tear Man for the sweetest reason.During his appearance onLive with Kelly and Markon Thursday, Jan. 9,Tim Allen, 71, promoted his new ABC sitcom,Shifting Gears, and opened up about his eldest daughter’s wedding. Until now, details ofKatherine Allen’s nuptials have been kept under wraps.The Santa Clauseactor welcomed his first daughter in December 1989 with then-wife Laura Deibel. And she said, ‘I want you to do the father-daughter dance.’ And I said, ‘Yeah, I get that.’ And she goes, ‘I don’t trust you not to screw it up,' " Tim recalled. “So she wanted me to go to dance academy class.“Tim said even he was “shocked” that he agreed to it.“It was six, one-hour sessions with this instructor and back and forth…” Tim began before Ripa, 54, quipped, “That doesn’t seem like enough if I’m going to be honest.““Wow. Wow. Pull the knife out, that’s really kind of hurtful!” he jokingly replied.Learning choreography wasn’t easy, but his dancing and DJing wowed wedding guests in the end.“I was embarrassed ‘cause one, for college for a while I was a disc jockey on a big discotheque, and I knew how to do it on stage.
