Tori Spelling Reveals She Once Offered to Be a Surrogate for Ross Mathews and His Husband: 'Would Only Do This for You'

On the latest episode of hermisSPELLINGpodcast, the host, 51, spoke with theDrew Barrymore Showco-host, 45, about their longtime friendship. She shared with listeners that she once offered to be a surrogate for Mathews and hishusband Wellinthon García.

Spelling is usually very candid about her life with her children on hermisspellingpodcast, especially sinceseparatingfrom estranged husbandDean McDermottin June 2023. In a December 2024 episode of the podcast, the90210alum explained that since the separation, the couple’s five children —Beau Dean, 7,Finn Davey, 12,Hattie Margaret, 13,Stella Doreen, 16, andLiam Aaron, 17 — have joined her on the roller coaster of navigating life post-split.

During the episode, Spelling recorded a therapy session with psychotherapist Dr. Hillary Goldsher. She shared that due to her career in Hollywood, things aren’t “consistent" in her life, explaining, “It’s not financially consistent, nor is it stable.”

“With five kids, I feel like I’m sorry. I’m constantly letting them down because my life is not stable. Their lives are not stable,” she said. “I can give love in abundance, but they’re on this roller coaster with me, unfortunately.”

The mom of fiveshared on herpodcast in December 2024that she has been leaning on her daughter Stella during this time. Spelling shared that the teenager has been acting as a second mom to her other four kids as the actress adjusts to being separated from her ex-husband.

“Being a single mom and they’re with me, and their dad and I are super amicable and, you know, working through everything for the futures of separate families, but the kids live with me,” Spelling said. “I’m the primary caretaker.”

“And, as a single mom providing for them, there’s times when I’m working and I’m hustling,” she continued. “In the last three months, I’ve really been working my butt off, and I’m super grateful for that work.”
