Travis Kelce Pulled Off Taylor Swift's Surprise Eras-Themed Party by Making a Stealthy Outfit Change

That’s exactly what Travis Kelce did when hethrew his Grammy-winning girlfriend and Eras-themed partyin her honor in Kansas City. While plenty of the party photos showed the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 35, wearing his Eras Tour costume (the one he wore in London during “You Can Do It with a Broken Heart”), one single photo from Swift’s friend Ashley Avignone showed him wearing a different outfit.

In theInstagramcarousel that Avignone shared on Dec. 19, the very last photo showed Swift hugging partygoers. Kelce can be seen in the background of the photo wearing a burgundy suit jacket, gray pants and a white button-up shirt. He even sported a pair of glasses.

Avignone wrote in her caption, “When she thought she was going to a small, quiet dinner but it was actually a giant surprise party with her friends and family, props included.”

Patrick and Brittany Mahomes also dressed on theme, with Patrick matching Kelce’s energy in the same “We Can Do It with a Broken Heart” ‘fit. Patrick wore the tux and top hat, with a white button down and white scarf.

While fans were quick to point out that Swift’s look seemed to be from a variety of her eras — Swifties can find an Easter egg in anything! — you could also make the argument that she was simply wearing agorgeous LBD for date night, considering she had no idea about the Eras-themed party when she got dressed.

Then again, Swift never gets dressed without intention, so we still think this is a pretty remarkable nod to her debut era. Perhaps she was feeling a bit nostalgic after wrapping such a massive tour?
