Coyote UglystarsTyra BanksandPiper Peraborevealed that they suffered serious injuries while filming the beloved 2000 film.

“I can start,” theAmerica’s Next Top Modelcreator said. “I tore my meniscus in rehearsal. Stomping so damn hard.”

Banks said she could see the room in which the cast rehearsed the film’s iconic dance numbers “like yesterday.”

“I tore my meniscus. Yeah,” she said. “To this day I gotCoyote Uglyup on my right knee.”

Later in the discussion, Perabo recalled how Garcia, a trained dancer, was so good at performing on the titular watering hole’s narrow bar that producerJerry Bruckheimerkept telling him to make his moves look worse.

“He’d show a version of the dance on the bar and Jerry would be like, ‘That’s still too good. Adam.’ He’s that good of a dancer,” Perabo, who joined the panel via Zoom, said. “I, on the other hand — I fell off the bar at least once.”

“Piper fell off,” Moynahan, who also attended via Zoom, confirmed. “We were in rehearsals and I believe I had just mentioned maybe we should have a crash pad in case somebody falls off. And that suggestion was ignored or ridiculed or something. It was just like, and then cut to her falling.”

“Yeah, I broke a rib,” Perabo revealed.

Miko said she still has a photo of a bloody Perabo on set. “I don’t know if that was that fall, but I have a picture of her bloody,” she said. “My mom was like, ‘What kind of movie are you guys shooting?’ ”

Lynskey noted that whileCoyote Uglyfans to this day misremember her dancing on the bar in the film, she’s “so grateful” her character never actually did.

“Oh my God. Bloody picture of Piper. Everyone’s breaking things,” theYellowjacketsstar joked. “No, I am very grateful. I was just there going, ‘You go, Violet. Whatever.’ ”
