VictoriousSpinoff Is in the Works at Nickelodeon — and Series Alum Daniella Monet Is Back as Trina!

It looks like class might be back in session at Hollywood Arts!

PEOPLE can confirm that Nickelodeon is in the process of developing a spinoff of its iconic musical series,Victorious. The new iteration will follow series vetDaniella Monet’s character Trina Vega, who is “returning to her old stomping grounds as the newest teacher at Hollywood’s most elite performing arts school,” per a show synopsis.

It’s unclear if fellow formerVictoriouscast members will be joining Monet in the new series. However, early casting is underway for the show, which currently boasts the working titleHollywood Arts.

Monet, 35, will serve as an executive producer alongside Jake Farrow and Samantha Martin will also serve as executive producers.

The series was very popular in its 2010s run, earning four Emmy nominations and a Billboard Hot 100 hit with “Freak the Freak Out.” It also spawned a spinoff calledSam & Cat, which saw Grande’s Cat Valentine teaming up withJennette McCurdy’siCarlycharacter Sam Puckett.

Last year, Justice, 31, told PEOPLE that theVictoriouscast “have a group chat that we’ll pop in on sometimesand chat about stuff.”
