The trio behind theWe Can Do Hard Thingspodcast have put their heads — and over 100 others' — together to create a “guidebook for being alive.”

“When you travel through a new country, you need a guidebook,” Glennon, 48, explains in a statement shared with PEOPLE. “When you travel through love, heartbreak, joy, parenting, friendship, uncertainty, aging, grief, new beginnings — life — you need a guidebook, too.”

“We Can Do Hard Things,” she adds, “is the guidebook for being alive.”

“For the first time, they were all lost at the same time,” the description continues. “So they turned toward the only thing that’s ever helped them find their way: deep, honest conversations with other brave, kind, wise people — their wayfinders.”

So the podcast hosts not only consulted each other for guidance, but also asked their close friends and “118 of the world’s most brilliant wayfinders” a question that acts as the guiding light for the book.

The question? “As you’ve traveled life’s roads — breaking patterns, falling in and out of love, making and keeping friends, forgiving yourself and others, finding joy and purpose — have you collected any wisdom that might help us find our way?”

And through the wisdom they collected from the likes ofIna Garten,Sara Bareilles,Jane Fonda,Brandi Carlile, JusticeKetanji Brown Jacksonand more, the trio learned two big lessons.

Firstly, “No matter what road we are walking down, someone else has traveled the same terrain,” and secondly, “The wisdom of our fellow travelers will light our way.”

By answering, as the title suggests, 20 of life’s questions within its pages — including “Why can’t I be happy?” and “How do I forgive?” —We Can Do Hard Things“will change your life,” Glennon wrote onInstagram.

“We are all life travelers,” she added in a statement. “We don’t have to travel alone. We Can Do Hard Thingsis our guidebook.”
