Welcome to Plathville: Micah's Girlfriend Makes Her TV Debut as He Says Going Public Takes Relationship to 'Next Level'

Micah Plath’s girlfriend Veronica is making her on-camera debut!Veronica appeared for the first time on this week’s episode ofWelcome to Plathville,which aired on Aug. 20. After Veronica missed Micah completing the Spartan Race, a famous annual obstacle course, she decided it was time to stop hiding from the public eye.“It was definitely a point of, not contention, but it was definitely something talked about a lot,” she explained. “I never was the person that wanted to be in the spotlight. I liked being in the back of the room. I liked being the one listening to everything, the one not involved in everything. So like if you told me when I first met Micah that we will be doing this today, I would be like, ‘There’s no photos of me.’”“It’s been a growing process for sure,” she continued.Veronica (left) and Micah Plath (right).TLCThe pair, who have been together for over a year, had kept their relationship entirely private until Veronica realized she was missing out on making memories with the Plath family. At the same time, she said she has never been one to enjoy attention.“The first time I met Micah, he wanted to take a photo together,” she recalled. “We were at the beach one day and I was like, ‘Absolutely not.’ So all the photos he has of me is like my hand covering cameras, constantly hiding from cameras, from photos. It’s definitely an insecurity. I’d rather have memories in the moment, but to make memories with the family, you sort of have to be on camera at this point.”Micah Plath (left) and girlfriend Veronica (right).TLCJoking that she “tried to hide,” Micah expressed his happiness that his girlfriend is now comfortable filming with him.“I feel like that kind of takes our relationship to the next level,” he said.“That was the most forced thing I’ve ever heard you say,” she replied, but he countered, “No, I’m really happy you decided to do this because we could spend more time together. You could see my family more.”“I’m definitely warming up to it,” she told the cameras.Noting that they already act and live like a married couple — they share a home and three dogs, and each take a part in household chores — Micah said he was unsure after being asked when the two would actually tie the knot.“No comment right now,” he said after Veronica called out his “awkward silence.”“I’m lucky I get to live with my best friend,” Micah added.Veronica shared the same feelings, tearing up when she heard Micah call her his “best friend.”“I tell him that every morning, ‘I get to live with my best friend. If I get home from work late, he surprises me [with] my favorite food.”Micah interjected to explain that unlike many areas of their life, food is where he gets to introduce Veronica to new things. She agreed, saying that “the first time I tried salsa was with the Plath family.”“When I first met her, her diet was so small and she barely ate anything,” Micah continued. “But I’ve gotten her to try a few things. She’s tried ranch dressing and now she loves that. She tried salsa because of me.
